New methods allow researchers to see all the connections between neurons in an intact brain. This branch of study is called connectomics. The "wiring diagram" of a brain is called a connectome [source: Lichtman]. "Until recently, we've had no hope of getting these wiring diagrams," says Jeff Lichtman, a Harvard biologist who led the group that developed some of the new techniques. Books I and II are of most interest to embryology. Book III is a comparative study of zoology that applies principles from Book II to different species of animals. Book IV contains miscellaneous information about aspects of reproduction, such as how heredity works and birth defects occur. Book V compares the characteristics that all animals.

Let's say that the brainstorm topic is "weather", the students would state whatever comes to mind, which would most likely include words like rain, hot, cold, temperature, seasons, mild, cloudy, stormy, etc. Brainstorming is also a terrific idea to do for bell work (when you have just minutes to fill just prior to the bell).   Animal research has helped to understand basic motivational processes like hunger, thirst, reproduction as well as vision, taste, hearing, perception and theories on the working of mind and body. It has helped develop techniques to recover lost function in partially paralyzed limbs and treat hypertension and headaches.

Vision is critical for these nocturnal animals' survival. In the high-altitude fishes, the rates at which the chemical reactions involving the protein occurred, changed.   Computer Vision, for instance, is a great area with a huge scope of development in India as in this field, all you need is a camera which has started penetrating to even smaller cities now.
